Daufuskie Island Artists
THE IRON FISH
A Daufuskie landmark, The Iron Fish is a must see on the Daufuskie arts tour. Here, Metal Artist/Blacksmith Chase Allen forges timeless works of art out of steel that have been featured in Coastal Living magazines. The Iron Fish is an “outdoor” gallery where every piece of artwork is either displayed in the garden or on the front porch. If you want to return to The Iron Fish after you have left Daufuskie, simply visit the online gallery at: www.IronFishArt.com
The Daufuskie Gallery displays a variety of works by more than 14 different artists, most of whom live on Daufuskie and
who range from local folk artists to nationally recognized painters. These delightful pieces of art include cast bronze
works, paintings of most types, weaving, basketry, fine woodworking, and ceramics.
Island native Lancy and Emily Burn have been producing an impressive array of functional, aesthetic and art pottery since
1996. Their studio showroom also contains hands-on displays of locally found Indian dating back thousands of years.
